Marc Valli joined the NOISE Lab to talk about his ‘ten steps to starting your own magazine’, from finding your team to the design and look of the finished publication. On a pressing deadline to get the next issue of Elephant to the printers, Marc also discussed the world of book publishing and how your magazine can stand out from the rest.

Marc Valli, owner of the Magma design book stores in London and Manchester, is the editor in chief of Elephant Magazine. The quarterly contemporary art and visual culture magazine, launched in November 2009. It features up-to-the-minute visual material, fresh faces and original voices, covering and uncovering new trends and talent in contemporary visual culture.
